Shipping is back on track! We are thankful for normal temperatures after being in a deep freeze last week. If you missed last week's email, we had several days of single-digit temperatures that prohibited us from getting cannas to you. Fortunately, we can officially start shipping the first orders of 2025 this week. All delayed orders from last week will ship on 2/24. You will receive an email with your tracking number.
Planting at the right time is the first step to ensure happy, healthy, and blooming cannas. Planting too early can lead to rotting, delayed growth, or fewer or no blooms. We recommend using soil temperatures to choose your ship date and when to plant. You can plant cannas outdoors once soil temperatures are consistently 60 degrees F. We like using this interactive map to help with soil temperatures. Enter your zip code for the map to show you the current soil temperature, a 5-day average, and historical trends.
February is usually a great time to plant cannas in zone 9 areas, such as: Arizona, Southern California, Florida, Southern Texas.
Zone 8 gardeners can usually start planting cannas in mid-March: Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, San Francisco, CA, Chattanooga, TN, Dallas, TX, Salem, OR, Carlsbad, NM.
Cannova® plant sale to brighten your weekend! All Cannova® plants are 20% off until March 2nd at midnight CST. We all need a little bright spot to remind us that warmer temperatures and blooming flowerbeds are only a few months away. We hope this sale brings a little joy to your day!
We are still sending out catalogs. For customers who have ordered from us in the past, you should have received your catalog by now. Unfortunately, they get lost in the mail sometimes, so if you haven't received your copy please let us know. We will be happy to get one to you.
If you are new to our family business and would like to request a catalog, please send us a message with your name and mailing address. We will gladly mail one to you!
We look forward to sharing more with you next weekend,
